These exhibitions attract huge crowds, with exciting exhibits, meet-and-greets, concerts and competitions. If you've never attended a major firearm exhibition, here are three that should be on your bucket list:
SHOT Show - The Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade Show, known as SHOT Show, is the largest trade show for shooting, hunting and law enforcement professionals. It features over 1,600 exhibitors and attracts nearly 65,000 attendees each year. As a trade-only show, SHOT Show allows industry members to see the latest firearms, ammunition and gear on the market. It is held annually in January in Las Vegas.
NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits - The National Rifle Association Annual Meetings & Exhibits, typically held in April or May, are open to the public and gun enthusiasts of all kinds. Nearly 80,000 people attend the events each year to walk the 450,000 square feet of exhibit space. Top firearm manufacturers showcase their new products. There are also pavilions, seminars, concerts, a gun auction, and meet and greets with celebrities like Ted Nugent. Locations rotate but are often in Southern and Midwestern cities.
Great American Outdoor Show - Dubbed the World's Greatest Outdoor Show, the Great American Outdoor Show is a massive nine-day event held annually in February in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Over 1,000 exhibitors fill over 650,000 square feet of exhibit space, attracting over 200,000 outdoor enthusiasts. The show features all kinds of outdoor products, live entertainment, demonstrations, and competitions, including dock dogs, archery and firearm exhibits.These are must-see events for anyone passionate about firearms, hunting and the outdoor lifestyle. The sheer size and scale of these exhibitions, with acres of booth space, numerous activities and top manufacturers in attendance, make them bonafide gearhead paradises. While buy-and-sell shows tend to focus on completed transactions, these exhibitions are really all about exposure, education and experiencing the latest and greatest technology, firearms and products on the market.
